Thursday, September 27, 2018 SQ Risk, Managing Partner Larry Augustine presented “The Why, What, and How of Third-Party Risk Management”. The session was part of the LookingGlass Cyber Solutions Third-Party Risk Management Symposium held at the historic Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Washington, DC.

The SQ Risk Third-Party Risk Management (“TPRM”) presentation offered a wide range of information for all levels of third-party risk professionals and program maturity. The information ranged from the TPRM requirements and regulations, where to begin in building a program, to programmatic best practices. One point of clarity that came to the forefront was understanding TPRM scope terminology. The point was made that all Vendors are Third Parties but, not all Third-Parties are Vendors. There is risk represented by third-party relationships that may be overlooked if a company excludes non-vendor business relationships.

SQ Risk was honored to be included in the LookingGlass Cyber Solutions 3PRM Symposium. The session was energetic and interactive as many of the audience asked questions throughout the presentation. Participants of the symposium included representation from all industries seeking additional information in third-party risk management.
